Kanawha River won't see return of P.A. Denny this year

The P.A. Denny, the most famous sternwheeler in Charleston'srecent history, will not be paddling up and down the Kanawha Riverthis summer.

Bob Anderson, the head of the South Charleston Convention andVisitors Bureau and the city's business recruiter, said he spokelast week with Heck Heckert of American Riverboat Co., one of thesternwheeler's owners.
