WA: Police shoot, injure man loitering at service station

Police have shot and seriously injured a man seen acting suspiciously at a Perth service station.

Police say shots were fired through the window of a car after a confrontation betweenits driver and three police officers who'd been called to the Mobil station in OsbornePark shortly before 2 am (WST).

The sedan had rammed a police car from the Canine unit and driven over an embankmentwhile fleeing the scene.

Police say the 20-year-old is in a serious but stable condition in Royal Perth Hospital.
